What will define your 2016?
Each year, I anxiously anticipate Chris Brogan’s “My 3 Words..” blog post. It’s become tradition to read the post, meditate, and set the theme for my own key words of 2016. It also become my annual challenge to live outside of my comfort zone because these three words are to hold me accountable for the next 365 days.
Here’s how it works (taken from ChrisBrogan.com):
“Take the leap of faith.”
Phil Randazzo is on one heck of a mission. The founder of American Dream U & Text Safe Teens, LLC is out to change the world one life at a time. His primary focus, ADU, develops veteran business leaders by pairing US veterans with successful entrepreneurs & equipping them to succeed in life with the leadership talents they’ve honed in the military. Even more, Phil self-funded this nonprofit because he believes in the mission and serving those who fought & served for us.
This interview has been one of my favorites as we talk the creation of ADU, Phil’s passion behind it, and what tips, tricks, & ideas he’s implemented to help him succeed in work & building multiple ventures. Here’s a hint – letting fear stop him isn’t one of the tips.
The more I’ve poured into building a business, the more I realize that life is about so much more. Doing work that matters is a great thing, but never THE thing.
- Keep priority on the right things.
- Always put people first.
- It’s ok to unplug.
- Never compromise your morals to get ahead.
- Focus on the things & people that will matter when your life is coming to an end.
And most of all, make this life count. Compete Every Day.
